Celebrating the growth of women in the plumbing industry! This month, we'd like to feature Andrea!

July 14, 2025

Increasingly, women are entering the plumbing and heating industries, bringing a diverse range of skills to the field. As more and more women break through barriers and contribute their skills to the plumbing profession, the industry becomes more diverse, innovative, and inclusive. By challenging stereotypes and promoting equality, the plumbing industry can continue to benefit from the valuable contributions of both men and women, ensuring a brighter and more balanced future for the field. By diversifying the workforce, plumbing companies can also cater to the needs and preferences of their clients, ultimately improving customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Our female customers love our new female plumbing apprentice, Andrea, and cheer her on daily! She sought out Bleakley Plumbing in Fall 2024 after completing High School, and after being a part of their Career Tech Training Program, she fell in love with Plumbing...so much so that she told Russell that someday, she'd like to own her own plumbing business! He was impressed and certainly appreciated her understanding of the "art" of plumbing and piping design that she had fallen in love with during training school. That is something many Plumbers take for granted. That is one key difference with Bleakley Plumbing. Russell does not butcher jobs to cut corners to and save on costs - he instead knows how to design a clean, neat job of piping layouts shat they are also aesthetically pleasing and do not look like a bunch of spaghetti thrown together - as well as, knowing how to do it on a budget that saves you money. Some say, but it's behind the wall...who cares...? Well, the next seasoned Plumber who opens up your walls for any reason, would take one good look at the work quality and say to themselves... "Oh boy... I wonder what the rest of the plumbing & heating looks like in this place...!" That is why her statement impressed Russell. She appreciated the art of designing the piping for a water heater, for example... That made his day, and this old-school Plumber was beaming with joy! And he is looking for more men and women in this next generation to train and share the same appreciation for the trade, learning both the mechanical skills and the art of plumbing.
